A Place to Call Home

In case you've missed on all of the action, here is a brief update:

Two months ago, we found out my fiance was going to lose his job. Naturally, we began looking for new positions elsewhere. I left my job at a large self-publishing company (now owned by Penguin) to move with him to Chicago and start a new life. It's been a whirlwind, but one of the best decisions we've made!

And now to get into what I've been up to since the great move in May!

Since leaving the publisher, I decided I wanted to pursue my creativity in my own way. I wanted to dabble and expand on where I want to take re:find Joy...explore new heights and grow as a creative. So now I spend my days working at Fleur, a fabulous florist in Chicago, and in my spare time I run re:find Joy.

I've since picked up a freelance design collaboration with Hey Shenee, a powerful brand extraordinaire. Here is a little preview of an ebook we've been working on:

We got new business cards! And we rented for our first wedding and are prepping for a few more! I've also done two styled shoots on behalf of re:find Joy with a joyous group of remarkable vendors, and I'm currently preparing for my official launch next month.

Whew!

It's been a lot, quite an adjustment to say the least, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It is exhilarating and powerful and oh-so-incredibly worth it.

I am grateful to now have a place to call HOME.
